Data Products

VENUS will provide uniform JWST imaging and follow-up products for a sample of 60 well-studied massive lensing clusters. The core data set is NIRCam 10-filter imaging over a total of ~0.16 deg2 reaching typical depths of 5σ ≈ 28 mag, complemented by multi-epoch and spectroscopic follow-up in a best-selected subsample.

Release timeline

We aim for rapid community value with staged releases. Exact dates and contents will be posted here as they are finalized.

  • Observations: Ongoing; imaging is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2026.
  • DR1 (planned): First public release anticipated in late 2026.
  • Subsequent releases: Additional releases will include updated calibrations, value-added catalogs, lens-model updates, and follow-up spectroscopy products.

What will be released

(DR1) Reduced images with and without BCG+ICL subtraction (DR1) Source and photometry catalogs (DR1) Photometric redshift and stellar population catalogs (DR1,2) Lens models (DR2) NIRSpec spectra (DR2) Differential images for time-domain studies (when available)
